No End to this madness,

Two more people I know left the earth this past weekend....

I run a community/historical based website for folk that once lived on this remote mine, these people are scattered around the world today! I run a list called Lost Diamonds, to keep track of former Oranjemunders that are now deceased....... That list is getting longer by the week.....

I have a tiny family so if anyone dies it's quite devastating to the family. I literally have 13 family members (up to uncles/aunts and cousins.

Last year my youngest brother passed away from a long illness that he suddenly got earlier in the year. He was 30...It shook us to the core especially my other brother and myself, but I don't let my mom and dad see as I need to be there for them as the eldest.

My partner has a massive family and it seems like when someone passes away on that side, it's not a big thing lol...his grandfather and uncle died this year and besides the COVID restrictions, not many people went anyway. Life is short...I'm 36 and starting to feel that mid life itch about what I've achieved before I kick the bucket.

And another one this morning, his daughter was in my primary school class, he worked in retail with my mum back in the day....

Ironically I spoke about this chap only last week as another old timer had sent me a photograph of him asking if he was the person I was referring to that had died last week, to which I replied, "No! They share the same surname, that's all....." less than seven days later the oke kicks it....

Those people in denial about Covid, Cannot, Cannot deny that there are a lot more people dying ......

/Moose frowns and walks out into the garden for fresh air, kicking A bucket on the way....

“Since the inoculation of this world, neither truth nor lies have existed. Only authoritative reality. Regardless, every being in this world lives misrecognizing only convenient “facts” as truth. This is because they have no other way to live. However, for the powerless who make up the majority of this world, the inconvenient “facts” they affirm through themselves is entirely the truth.”

Lots of people passing due to heart problems caused by Covid. But not tested and not seen as Covid related death. Stats from SAMRC shows vastly increased mortality rates which excludes Covid tested cases. Yes, some of the due to people suffering from normal heart problems at home and too afraid to visit ER or hospital but still a large amount of them with Covid causes too methinks.

For what it's worth Morty, I saw an article suggesting taking asprin (Disprin) for the old fellas like us in our 40s/50s who might have possible heart problems when Covid hits us. 1/3 to 1/2 Disprin a day help keep arterial clogging clear from Covid related damage.

Had a Teams call with colleagues this morning. One colleague lost three friends from Covid over the last week. Family of four. Mom, daughter and son all passed away in ICU over the course of one week. Remaining daughter survived it and made it through the ventilator. Doctors had to keep quiet about her family to not upset her. Farkit. :crying:

.... and another one just went.....

She was sickly and in her 70's mind you, a friend of me mum in law who I had often met, even braai'd with, Mum in law was with us in Namibia the past seven weeks, she was concerned about her friend's ailing health and wanted to get home to GB, she walked in the door five hours ago to find her friend had just past on...

Some of you might recall the most excellent friend of mine who blew himself away a few years ago, well one of his best mates, also a friend of mine returned "home" to clean out Stennie's flat and then to return for the service in the DUnes a year later, well G died also on Friday down in Durbanville..... So I am back with Change and Decay early 2021........

It is also 4 months since I last touched booze and can feel that urge creeping back......

Sigh! What's this life all about I wonder......

/Moose bursts into song, 'I wonder why I wonder how, yesterday you told me about........'

Lost my uncle, my mother's brother last week. He had a good innings. Cancer. The family made a point at the funeral about it being cancer not Covid. Sad days.

Another numer of a mate to delete from my contacts, last week whilst in Swakopmund I had brekkie with an old mate, we discussed his boet who is also a family friend, he showed me photo's of him, how he was improving after battling prostate cancer for the past three years, two days later the call came in that he had passed....

Two reasons I post this,

You lads that are above fifty go for your prostate checkups....it might save your life,

Secondly, this guy worked hard his entire life and was meant to be enjoying life now, travelling the world, so make time to enjoy life every single day......

That sounds like my dads business partner…

Retired at 65 after years of hard work and at 66, gets a triple bypass and dies 3 weeks later, after throwing a clot. So sudden and tragic. The day before we spoke about the extensive Namibia Roadtrip we were planning…

And while we give some tips, here is another one.

The smokers amongst us should stop before they get emphysema/COPD, because if you have it the chance to get a prostate operation to remove it is about zero. Ask me, I have it and now have to live with hormone injections to keep the cancer under control.
