Change Debit order to charge credit card?

I'm in the process of moving as many of my debit orders as possible to my credit card, and I see on the Vodacom site under Banking Details they have two sections:
BANKING ACCOUNT DETAILS
CREDIT CARD DETAILS

But when I click UPDATE BANKING DETAILS - I can only change the details for my bank account - not enter credit card details.

Anyone know if its possible to have your monthly account charged to your credit card?

You are no longer allowed to use a credit card as method of payment via debit order. Below is the communication from Vodacom SP regarding this.

Dear Trade Partner

Please note that Vodacom will NO LONGER accept debit order payments via Credit Card from 31 August 2010. All customers currently with a debit order on a Credit Card will be sent an SMS requesting them to call 111 from their Vodacom cellphone or 082 111 from any other phone. The agent will assist the customer to change his/her debit order option to a savings, transmission or cheque account for future payments. Customers will be able to pay their account via Credit Card in a store.

This forms part of an ongoing effort to manage fraud regarding the misuse and theft of Credit Card information by syndicates and individuals.

Customers will be notified via SMS as well as a letter that will be included in their July bill. The details of the SMS are as follows:

“Please note that Vodacom will no longer accept debit order payments via Credit Card from 31 August 2010. Dial 082 111 to change to a savings, transmission or cheque account for future payments.”

Ockie

Ah - to the rescue again :)

Thanks - a pity that - The trip to the store isn't worth my monthly R4xx odd bill... I'll leave it on debit order for now.

Amazingly enough, my credit card expired at the end of October 2010, and since Vodacom has been sending me a form to change my credit card details as it has expired - and I must update it, while at the same time time continuing to debit my credit card. I have now informed Nedbank (whose admin is as useless as Vodacom's) about a number of unauthorised transactions against my account...

Then I dont know. According to the communication above no one will be allowed to use credit cards for their debit orders.
Just checked, VSP again debited my credit card end of last month... Guess it will take a few months for Nedbank to react to my faxed letter.
