Am I guessing right that Vodacom has a change window on the 3G network the last weekend of every month? Am I imagining that the major problems experienced by 3G users usually start on the last Friday of the month? What degree of testing are network changes subjected to before implementation? Wouldn't it be fair for Vodacom to put some kind of roll-over in place (even with a time limit) when network changes have an adverse effect, like what we saw with this last weekend's DNS fiasco?

Change windows are every night, weekends included.

It does feel that problems tend to cluster around month end. It's either real and could be related to load increase over the period or it might just be that we're more aware this time of the month due to the expiry of the bundles at month end.

Either way, your suggestion for roll-over is a practical solution for this situation and I have suggested it before and will for sure pass your comments on as well.
