hey BTTB - i am trying to work in adderley street. the DA march has just gone past..not easy to estimate size but prolly around 1000 peoples + a whole horde of metros

can't say i have seen too much chaos in cape town central today or heard any shots....only wish the evangelist with the microphone standing on the corner downstairs would go away (although it was fun to hear him dissing the metro police..."security - you think you're security....no no no...there is only one security and it is the Lord, not the metro police")

Thanks Dominic. :)
1000! That is quite a few people moving through those narrow streets.

One must admire Zille's tenacity and will.

just saw this on the news. I feel sorry for the families of those taxi drivers. Must be harsh having an animal for a son/father/uncle. Not sure y being subject to the same laws is a problem for them. They actually shud comply to stricter laws as they are considered "public" transport

Just saw it as well...Not that i needed to as it happened just down the road :p But their demands are ridiculous. As always.

One of them, ANC media official Lionel Adendorf, said he and two other protesters were pepper-sprayed by a man in a DA T-shirt, and had racial slurs hurled at them.
LOL
