Charging by the Byte to Curb Internet Traffic - basically about how the big guys in the US (AT&T, Comcast & Time Warner) want to start charging their users per GB. Sounds crazy? Check it out, the New York Times isn't exactly a fringe newspaper ;-)

Funny that for once the guys overseas want to start doing what we've been doing from day one. For a change it's the other way round. Much cheaper of course but that's beside the point, the debate is metered vs unlimited.

Yip, very interesting. This has been brewing for a while. You are always going to get some people who will rip the sh_t out of it and ruin it for everyone else. A bit like eat as much as you want except that the consumer is not limited by what their stomachs can take... In any business model anything at a set cost without limitations can not really work unless that which is being provided is free in the first place.
