Is she were not interested she wouldn't have bothered to reply. The late reply is also consistent with being busy.

In replying she is hoping he gets the message and does not bug her again.

Being busy is always a handy excuse. If you are interested in someone you make the time.

I suggest not contacting her both this week and next. If she enjoyed your company, then when you ask her the following week she will jump at the opportunity having spent the previous week wondering if you were ever going to ask her again.

If she says yes, then you're on. If she says no again, then call it a day.

The games we play :)

Listen- if she wanted to be with you, she would be already. If she really liked you she would have responded. Don't give me that busy cr@p. I'm a girl, I know! Hate to be blunt she is just not that in to you. Call it quits and move on...

Yes.

Most guys guys think they have to sooo careful talking to girls, never say a rude word, be curtious, ask a girl out. You guys need a complete paradigm shift!

WTF are you? A monk! Fuck that!

When I started chatting to my girlfriend I have now, I asked her to write a 500 word essay motivating why she wants to date ME!

Granted, she laughed at me but thats what you want . . . FUN!

I actually agree with this. Granted, we all get busy sometimes, but if you really into something/someone you make time for it. If I was into a girl, but had back to back meetings for an entire day, I would make 5mins available to respond to her.

Then again, she could be playing hard to get. Who knows...

Also agree with the wait two weeks and ask again approach. Also don't be so shy. Girls are inherantly attracted to a guy who is confident and honest. Confident people don't mind the occasional rejection. People that are timid and over cautious about asking out immediately smell desperate as they are obviously terrified of rejection. Girls instinctively smell a lost puppy that will be hard to get rid of later. Sometimes they also want a person who is open and honestly does not mind a rejection but is willing to give it a go and have some fun.

I disagree that my advice was bad. I think your advice is good too though.

The problem with instant messaging/text is that it is so hard to deduce tone from the text. I have many a time got the wrong impression from reading something and worked myself up into a huge stress only to find out the intention behind the text was completely different to how it was intended.

Honesty is always the best policy and I find more and more I don't like instant messaging as it results in problems with reading people which I'm generally quite good at.

Ask her in person or phone call whether she would like to go out sometime again (just sometime, no specifics) and then if she says yes then ask her when a good time would be...

Wait... what? He texted her??? Holy smoke!! Are phone calls so expensive? I agree with you Pooky

The first couple of times you have to pick up the phone and TALK TO HER. Texting is so impersonal. You can hear subtleties in her voice that will give you indications of whether you should bother or not. If she doesn't pick up, leave a voicemail and let her come back to you. Haunting and stalking is a no no.

In your current situation, I agree with previous posters saying you should give it a couple of weeks

I don't know if he texted her but he said she took a while to reply, which sounds like a text...

If she was at all into you she'd have replied sooner and said how about next week or whatever.

Precisely, sending a reply after a whole day has passed is just rude. If a woman needs to be chased/pursued, then she has a lot of growing up to do.
