Chat monitoring software-MSN Google Gmail etc

Hi ALL,

With more and more companies giving internet access to more and more users, I was just wondering if IT depratments have started installing monitoring/Spying software on users PC etc.
I have heard rumours of some IT departments installing software that cannot be detected etc, that logs all forms of chats etc, and that even log passwords etc.
Food for thought next time you chat online.

Anyone tried any freeware/demo versions etc?

i know some linux firewalls (eg: smoothwall) can do it, even filters swear words. Works very well have tested it, not that i spy only two ppl's in my office.
