What's the cheapest QC 3 fast charging good quality battery bank you can get?
From what I have seen Romoss and Huawei are the only players, Samsung also but way over priced.

ADATA and ROMOSS are priced well, and fairly well-known.

Orico also has a cheaper 10000mAh model (black and white) ...
Reviews and information ...

The FREED Free Delivery code may still be working if you make the purchase using the Loot app.

Can you estimate just by how many charges you get and knowing your device battery capacity
I never let my device run empty for the sake of longevity of the battery. And I haven't needed to use it much yet.

That's only true on lead acid batteries, lithium ion, lipo batteries don't have a memory and can go all the way.

I bought a Xiaomi Pro a couple of years ago. It has served me well. I'm not sure if they're available locally though

Edit: I just looked up my purchase, it was December 2016. I think that's decent lifetime considering it is still going like a Boeing

Lithium batteries also do better / last longer if they're not fully depleted

I got one and unfortunately the capacity is half what it's supposed to be.
Strange my 20000 mAh one seems fine. Charged my phone twice and also charged some feature phone twice and some other devices. Still 30% left.

They don't have memory but they do degrade faster when you let them go to 0 all the time. They also degrade faster when you let them go to 100% all the time :)

Suppose it does take a bit more time, like my Nokia 8 hitting almost 3 years now that doesn't last a day anymore.

Could be luck of the draw? My dads 5000mah works fine

Thanks I forgot about Xiaomi, I'll see what they have currently, do you know who sells them in SA?

Mine works like a champ, just the capacity is out of whack. The only way to really test it is with a USB battery meter, also the 20000mAh pack looked pretty hefty, so it may be using 18650 cells and hence be closer to the rated capacity.

If you have an accurate method for testing the capacity I'd love to know what your bank's true capacity is.

I decided to test my Orico k10p with an old tablet with 4600mah battery capacity.

I let it run down to 0 and charged it to 100% with the power bank. Drained the tablet to 0 again and was able to charge it to 71% before the power bank died.

So 7866 mah as per the above.

If that is accurate it would be very good. Real world capacity of most proper 10000 mah power banks are in the region of 6600 mah.

There are a variety of reasons why the above test is probably not very accurate.

Pick n Pay has been running a special on 10000mAh power banks for R99. I'm not sure whether they are still available but I bought a few last week. They do not support any fast charging modes etc. I did post some feedback and pics in the Hardware Bargains thread last week.

Snatcher also has a 12000mAh model selling for R119 which includes a flashlight. They also supply many other name brands such as Ravpower, Romoss, Orico etc. I think they still give you a 10% discount off your first purchase which could make their prices very competitive with other online retailers. I have not purchased anything from them before but I have seen many of their online advertisements!

The Orico K20P currently costs R348 on Loot vs R303 on Snatcher excluding any discount from Snatcher while the K10P costs R277 on Loot and R264 on Snatcher etc.
