Well who knows what you get. NFC is region dependent.

Also I had my phone for over 3 years now. It has NFC, but I never tested or used NFC.

I have the Redmi Note 10 Pro it has NFC and works just fine with Google Pay. Got mine on Takealot last month.

I think the pro versions they send us are the full house versions.

Maybe someone can comment if they had a vanilla version of any series bought locally that actually had NFC

So ? It's not the same product being sold at certain outlets. One can't just advertise that a phone has NFC and it does not have it - depending on where and what model (region specific) you buy.

And please tell me where can you buy a Galaxy S5 Mini ?

Good luck with that, my S5 mini died about 6 years ago. Probably the worst phone ever. Who wants to buy a phone from 2014 ?

That's a 3rd party seller. No guarantee you will get the product.

The phone comes standard with Android 4. Only if you are lucky to upgrade it to 5, you will be able to use Google Pay.

The struggle is real. Currently looking for a phone that is 6 inches or smaller, has NFC, was made in 2020 or after, and is less than 4k. Plenty of phones meet the last three criteria, but you think I can find one that's less than 6 inches? Noooooo. All of them are basically bloody tablets!

If you don't mind a the wait, grab a renewed Google pixel 4 from Amazon. They should be around 3500-3700 landed.

Pixel 4 has a decent camera too and runs bloatfree android that can be upgraded to android 13 once released.

Assuming because Google Pay works now, no reason to support functionality anymore.
