have seen something I like on an IT website http://www.cheapit.co.za. However, I've never heard of them before, and they don't show up on the regular shop comparison sites.
Not keen to drop cash only to have it disappear down the proverbial rabbit hole. Has anyone used these guys, and have the items been delivered without issue? Is there a way to see when the site went live?

They have no landline numbers, or address.. so I would be weary in the extreme...

They apparently offer free delivery in Gauteng, so maybe contact them and say you want to collect from their offices. Try get a physical address and check it out before paying.

Thanks guys.
On the down side - no credit card facility, so no protection from credit card supplier either.
On the up side, I asked them to confirm stock, and they said no stock, 4-6 weeks back-order, which I assume they would not do if they were a conn. Will get from another supplier.
But no, not the most professional looking website.

Then its a scam...

There is no way there is a 4-6 week back order time on something like that.

I was assuming it was a grey import brought in by sea on a dingy rowed by slaves - to keep costs down...

Indeedy... Cheapit appears to be a re-incarnation of another crowd I nearly bought from in 2011

There is no way they would ship a grey import like that in on a boat... its not cost effective at all.

It would be airfreighted in, and would take a week MAX.
