Checkers begins testing revamped Sixty60 app

Shoprite has announced it is beta testing a new and improved version of its Checkers Sixty60 app, which lets customers shop from over 10,000 larger Checkers Hyper products.

The beta app will continue to offer same-day delivery scheduled within a 60-minute time slot but will boast a much wider range of products.

Man Checkers knows how to run a business. Big Ups to them.
Can't think of a better example of digital disruption (and transformation) of the standard brick-and-mortar supermarket sector..

The opportunities are endless

PS: There is one more thing left that would absolutely crush PnP, "Checkers Clothing"

SHEIN and Temu will crush PnP clothing.

Nice, and it looks like they're going to be using the new Suzuki Eco vans @epah

Would prefer a local threat, not an external communist one, then at least there is some re-investment in the country and more tax circulating the trough, from which us common folk might get a nibble or two from..

I'm happy to hear about this. I have a few questions regarding van delivery. What will happen to areas where there is no Hyper store? Will a van be unavailable in those areas? Also, can current scooters deliver 3-5 big kitchen appliances at once, or will Checkers add more cars?

If people are spending less money on clothes then there is more money floating around.

Also sars would in fact be collecting tax.

I believe it will cover about a 20km radius from a Hyper store. So I dont think the bigger items will be available in towns without a Hyper.
