So I notice alot of people are using the word Cheers as a greeting.
I always thought Cheers meant "bye" and not "hello"

Its confusing lol! Anyone else use Cheers as a "hello"?

English use cheers on about everything! lol. Actually they mostly use cheers as a expression of thanx.

Me, I use cheers as bye or when raising a glass.

I mostly use cheers when saying goodbye to someone...not when meeting them, i mean imagine this "cheers man, long time no see, how u doin?" it just sounds off...

Lol so I asked another lady about the use of Cheers, she said it irritates her!!
She thinks they dont like her coz everytime she says hi, they say "bye"!!!

Cheers can also be used a way of thanking someone.

If they get you a beer, you say cheers if i am not mistaken or maybe that is another F up
