At Travelstart we are growing! We have an opportunity for a Chief Commercial Director, providing the company with the driving force through successful handling of both short and long-term commercial ventures in African emerging markets.
The key deliverables in this role will be to:
• The successful incumbent will drive the business forward with a BOOM! Already present in over 20 African countries, we are looking for you to embrace and own the opportunity;
• Refreshing and streamlining key performance indicators as well as driving all commercial aspects of mobile, digital and its applications;
• Perfect experience would include a large network in mobile web technology as well as an entrepreneurial spirit and follow through!
• Do you know data? Do you know he tools associated with data? Are you connected? Are you composed? Can you sell?
• Managing group sales throughout the African continent. as well as the direct sales;
• Implementation and management of the desired strategies for the group, as well as having the ability to successfully see them through until all targets are accomplished;
• Creating a relationship of partnership with the senior level product partners, investors as well as strategic foresight of the firm in order to identify and then pursue the different scopes for business development;
• Planning and executing of both short and long term revenue deriving strategies of the organization;
• Managing the different aspects of the commercial field of the organization within its Africa business; and
• Maintaining a strong grasp of the guidelines pertaining to how, why, where and when commercial indicators are implemented to grow the sales and bottom line revenue of the business.
Listed below are the minimum requirements with regards to skills, competencies and abilities needed for this role:
• Relevant tertiary qualification;
• Minimum 10 years commerce based experience, preferably in tech related fields;
• Highly responsible individual and greatly motivated;
• Good administrative skills;
• Great leadership qualities; and
• Knowledgeable of different sales and marketing aspects.
