It's excuses for uselessness. Stupids don't know they are stupid.
It's even got a special name, the Dunning-Kruger effect.
Be careful though someone might scream hate speech and then you go to jail for assaulting someone with words. The fragility is overwhelming these days. Heaven forbid the Chinese learn they can just waltz in and take the place because nobody has a backbone to stop them.

How is it that the Asian Colonies managed to become Asian Tigers thirty years after gaining independence, but back home in Mother Africa we don't progress and blame colonialsim,

The Chinese will mop this continent up twenty years from now, if not sooner...

They are well on their way, having taken over a port in Kenya when the government couldn't pay back a loan. You have new masters now.

Not sure what they would need ground to air missiles for though, unless they foresee some kind of war in the near future...

China places strategic ground to air missiles in Zimbabwe

But hey, they splash the cash and Africa falls for it.

The time for mouthing off is long past, it is time for critical action. I haven't read an academic research paper from US or Europe that doesn't have at least one or two Asian names on it.
We can all read the writing on the wall but what are we going to DO? I think we should all keep writing forum posts as fast as possible and screeching like limp male feminists until somebody else grows a pair and fixes it for us. Isn't that our entitled way?
As an emerging millennial I demand the old white guys/colonialists/racists who messed everything up, come back and fix their mess. My life is just starting and I deserve better than this mess.
I have no power and totally disadvantaged so I am a victim. I'm going to join AntifaSA and sucker punch old white racists in the head till they fix the country for us. We already have an Afrikaner fixing SAA and another one to fix Eskom in January. Now we demand a Afrikaner racist in every municipality to fix them so we don't have to **** in stinky buckets. (**** I luv ho dis nanny frm wont lt me uss grn up wrds ****)
It is our turn to feed but we cant feed in a township, we need houses. Where is all the white monopoly capitalists Murray&Roberts. Aveng, Grinrod to build us houses that dont crack and fall in rain or wind?

Only the lazy and incompetent blame the past instead of working to shape their present and future.
Haiti, after 228 years of self rule, is still a sh*t hole but they don't blame apartheid.
The reality is that, even without apartheid, sub-Saharan Africa would still be a sh*t hole because the original inhabitants never had the potential for anything more than raiding the neighbouring tribes.

In a million years from now Mogoeng Mogoeng will still blame Apartheid and Colonialism for the problems they will face then. This is, unfortunately, how life was planned for Africa. Things will never, ever, change. Until jesus comes.

Must be lekker going through life having a plethora of options when trying to absolve yourself of responsibility and accountability; trauma of racism; apartheid; colonialism; neo-colonialism and the K-T extinction event.

The problems we are facing now have nothing to do with apartheid, instead have everything to do with liberation movements taking over from apartheid and their failure to run a country due to corruption and nepotism.

Unless hes talking about the new " black apartheid" , then i agree with him.

Cool story, Chief justice. How do we fix this, decolonization?

We going back to the justice system we had pre-colonization?

I didn't need to read the speech to realize people on both sides of the equation would miss the nuance....

You can't not blame colonialism and apartheid... Just like you can't not blame the anc... The level of blame varies...

But at what point do we stop blaming apartheid and colonialism?

20 years from now? 200 years from now? 2000 years from now?

You must surely admit that there should come a time at which apartheid and colonialism should have no bearing on the current state of the country. How many generations must come and go before that is the case?

Because, if you don't admit that, then you are basically saying that even 500 years from now, apartheid must be blamed for whatever problems the country experiences.

I agree with him.

The current Apartheid is bringing this country to its knees.
Silly things like BEE and AA were a nice good feeling game.

The game is over and people are starting to suffer due to it.
