But at what point do we stop blaming apartheid and colonialism?

20 years from now? 200 years from now? 2000 years from now?

You must surely admit that there should come a time at which apartheid and colonialism should have no bearing on the current state of the country. How many generations must come and go before that is the case?

Because, if you don't admit that, then you are basically saying that even 500 years from now, apartheid must be blamed for whatever problems the country experiences.

It would be kind of shameful and embarrassing to have no excuse for this mess.

Funny how discrimination works.
It is wrong to discriminate against people for no other reason that they have darker (more pigmented) skin.
It is however not at all wrong to discriminate against people for no other reason that they have lighter (less pigmented) skin.

As long as the narrative fits and is convenient, it will always be used.

The more he opens his mouth the more respect I lose for him, no accountability whatsoever. He should be focusing on how the problems can solved but to do that you would have to take responsibility(make hard decisions) and have active brain cells which the 'leadership' severely lacks.

The Judiciary in this country is a joke and has become more so under the stewardship of mogoeng. Takes 14 years to prosecute and a drunk, racist judge and then they cant even do it properly.

He's is partially correct, however this perpetual victim mentality/excuse is not helping to sort out the situation.

And yet this is a point of pride. The bar is set below the floorboards.

so, at the height of Zuma' s lost decade, what institution was the last defence against him and his ilk. People, are rather selective when it comes to memory...all of us.

Our problems stem from the increasing IQ and specialist experience deficit among senior and middle management across all tiers of government over the last 20 years. Appointments made through political and ideological expediency has bankrupted this country in terms of business ethics, crucial skills, proven competence and now finally financially.

Hey Mogoeng.
It's greed (and not apartheid) that causes corruption, you moegoe.

Well on a positive note corruption is the only example of ANC non-racialism. They are willing to collude with foreign Indians, white South Africans, foreign Western companies, Asian powers and other African governments and companies. The fact they can overlook both race and nationality for corrupt self-enrichment is about the only time race, apartheid, xenophobia, colonialism does not bother them in the slightest. Such flexible convictions

He is correct insofar as the apartheid government forced the ANC into the hands of the communists.
