Foreign worker must leave China after racist comments cost him his job

Work-related residence permit cancelled on same day he is sacked by Chinese Academy of Sciences for offensive social media posts.

A foreign worker who was fired from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing for posting racist remarks on social media has been ordered to leave China.
Mark Kolars, who had been employed by the CAS Institute of Automation as a visual effects specialist since 2012, was dismissed on Thursday, two days after it was revealed on Weibo, China’s microblogging platform, that he had made a series of racist comments, including calling Chinese men “dirty yellow guys”, on the employment networking site LinkedIn.

Good on the Chinese.

I worked there for a few years, and just like any place there's room for criticism, but not of them as a race.

This hasn't been my experience at all.

When I suggested to Chinese people that their buildings are built like crap (mind you in a much more elegant way), they are happy to agree. But China still had the best buildings in the world. Other topics like intellectual property being near impossible to protect, western companies not being able to operate there, etc. they simply don't believe it. The honestly believe that Chinese companies are just better than western companies and that is why western companies aren't successful there.

They literally have companies there, that only exist there, is only successful because the government makes it near impossible for the west to open a business there, but no, it is because they are the best. I tried to ask them why his company wasn't successful outside of China and they simply wouldn't accept the fact that the company has no success outside China.

The list goes on.

Oh btw. this has nothing to do with this idiot that kicked out. I'm just saying, Chinese people don't take criticism, they just don't, they are the best, the end.

In another, Kolars referred to his son as “a mix of European Caucasian and Asien [sic] Chinese blood. Europe as bench mark which China will never reach. Not smart enough. Inbreeding for too long. Nature strives for genetic variances.”

IP stuff.. US pricing vs China? Patent trolls.. and then when it comes to perception of self in the world.. US people vs their debt and how much the world owes them when in the mean time..

If he is so disgusted by Chinese people why is he living & working there?

I am starting to think it is some form of a disorder, he seems to think he is the only hope, a shining light of sorts. Actually he sounds a lot like our guys on the forum, the type who are disgusted by Africa and everything in it yet they never leave.

Most probably he won't feel this important when he is back amongst his kind in Europe, he has to be in a country where he can look down on people to feel important.
