Cisco CEO suggests fear of Huawei 5G dominance is overblown

Cisco Systems Inc. Chief Executive Officer Chuck Robbins suggested governments shouldn’t worry that Huawei Technologies Co. will dominate the race to build 5G wireless networks.

“The current infrastructure around the world is built on a combination of communication suppliers from Europe, from China, from the U.S., everywhere,” Robbins said in a CNN interview on Sunday. [Bloomberg]

Well done, Chuck! Good on you for not jumping onto the hate bandwagon.

Sorry to interrupt. Why you would say so?
As a company that operates in the same telecommunications sphere as Huawei, it would have been easy for Chuck Robbins to go along with the current anti-Huawei sentiment in the US, but he didn't. He would probably be better informed than most about any alleged threat that Huawei poses.
