Price is a tad bit high, not really a good bargain.
If you buy golf, look for the 1800 motors. those are very good.

Nope bad buy.
We bought one for our driver in 94/95 for R32 000. Dad gave it to me to learn to drive. I traded it in for R27 000 in 2002.

The very low used car market is sad in SA.
In the new season of Top Gear, they had to buy a luxury car for 1000 pounds, they chose between a 93 735. which they got for 735 pounds, a S320 for 1000 pounds and a Jag Sovereign for 1000 pounds.... all in good condition!!
