The new e-THP sport model of the DS3 is just so damn gorgeous!
Feature packed, looks amazing and that 1.6 turbo petrol packs quite a punch too.

The e-THP 120 kW Sport comes with a 1.6-litre turbopetrol four for which Citroen claims 120kW at 6000 revs and 240Nm at 1750rpm, driving the front wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. The 0-100 sprint is disposed of in 8.1 seconds, terminal velocity is 218km/h and nominal fuel-consumption 5.6 litres per 100km.
It's blinged-up with LED Vision headlights - which combine Xenon and LED modules - perforated leather upholstery, auto air-con, an upgraded audio system and eMyWay satnav as standard issue.

Now I know for the price - R330k, Cars like the Fiesta ST would be tough to beat but because Citroen depreciates muuuch faster than Ford, This should be quite a steal when purchasing one that is perhaps a year old?

I Actually already see demo models for R280k and that's a month after this face-lifted version has been released so in a year, those prices will drop quite low for used models.

What are your thoughts on this?

The French have a history of producing great hatches; I'm not a 3 door fan, but this does look really good.

A little too cute for my taste... but it's nice if you like "french flair"

Looks nice, but French.

Exactly why it depreciates quickly :)

French cars have evolved over the years in the same way that the Koreans (Hyundai\Kia) have.
Consumers have not yet realized that and are hesitant to buy and that affects the resale value the most.
Still doesn't mean it's a bad choice to make :p
Especially when it's used and had a big chunk of the price dropped.

I can't believe you used the words 'terminal velocity' in an actual post.

Copy > Paste :D

The mind boggling, totally insane, soooooooper maximum speed is a whopping 218km/h and nominal fuel-consumption 5.6 litres per 100km.

Better? ;)

Nice.

DS5 is still one of my favorite looking cars.

I have the DS5 and a C4. The DS5 still turns heads. My wife drives the DS5 as she dislikes the EGS gearbox of the C4. Haven't had much issues except for the dealership wanting to rip me off on a part. I managed to get a quote from Citroën UK at a 10th of the local price even with import fees. Showed it to the local dealer and they blamed a technical issue in the parts department and new systems for the incorrect price. Will be checking all parts pricing if I need replacement parts in future.
