People need to realise that voting for these small useless parties such as ASA and EFF will put this country even more backwards.

Vote for the party with the best performing municipalities.

How difficult can it be?

But this is Africa where we do everything arse way around.

SA voters love their corruption, non service delivery party. Not even Jesus can help them...

They've implied before that if coalition partners don't give in to all their demands, they will be happy to let the ANC continue to be in power.
Broadly speaking, their horrible and evil demands are:
1) Your party has to be committed to individual rights and service delivery.
2) Your party has to place the interests of the electorate over the needs of politicians.
3) You party's leadership has to commit to a dispute process between coalition partners.

Absolutely terrible. How would an honest cadre wanting their slice of the tender pie ever be able to work under such inhospitable positions.

That is so true it must be racist.

If you were brought up in European system like DA cadres, you wouldn't be so flippant. There is no such word in European dictionary.
There are many such cases.

Like for example the phrase "taking responsibility for your own actions" does not exist in the African context....

The DA never learns. Never in a position to actually run the metro without coalition partners, and then surprisingly they get their members voted out of positions of power.

tbh, what more is DA supposed to do, considering power hungry nature of politics? I think Dr. Phalatse is one of the best person they have put up just like they had Mr. Mashaba earlier. Hope she doesn't get gatvol and join ActionSA few years down the line.

It's time that the election legislation be changed back to have names & faces on the ballots so people know which arsehole, representing the party-brand, they're voting for.

Coalitions are our future. No party in the future will have landslide majorities, it's something we'll have to get used to since SA is quite new to this thing of coalitions (it only came into the mainstream in 2016). It's going to be a bumpy ride but I'd prefer a United Front coalition government that gets **** done albeit getting bumpy along the way instead of an all-dominating ANC government which is just perpetually shite.

Brace yourself, the criminals will soon be back in charge in Jhb.
Let's just hope the parties in the UF that had rogues got things under control now. Otherwise, the ANC might return to power in JHB.

Ask the DA how those coalitions are working out. They p1ssed our votes down the drain in 2016 in PLZ by signing up with the EFF. 18 months later they were gone and we are STILL paying the price.
Roads have potholes; no paint; metal being stolen from roads daily and in the open (people actually taking video of it); taxis rule the roost; motorbikes and cars racing around; bus system is stuffed. List goes on and on.
I only voted the DA because there was nobody else.

Why do you think the DA now vehemently refuses to coalesce with EFF?
