Eish... anyone seen the city of Jhb's website today ?

http://www.joburg.org.za/

What were they thinking ? No search function, outdated news... amateur hour in their IT department.

:cringe: at the footer...

Powered by Joomla!. Designed by: free Joomla 1.5 template Wholesale Reseller Hosting Valid XHTML and CSS.
I suppose it is to be expected when they decided to hand the site over to their own IT department for administration... but broken on day 2.

/shakes head

That is terrible. Zero information architecture anywhere, overlapping divs, static everything, blurry gifs.... Anyone want to guess at the budget?

Just as bad as the previous website... it was near impossible to find anything.

I became quite good at locating stuff on it though.

Eish.

Spent a minute trying to locate the residents login - cannot find it, but lots of broken links under residents tab - culture and heritage...

It's like that because normally on those templates the spacing actually comes from the stylesheet, and their's is clearly broked...

Clearly they are because I'm pretty sure no-one in their right minds would approve of that mess to go live...

You never know these days...

One would think, development server... all pretty and yumm... then deploy live.

Boggles the mind.

EDIT:

I suppose if Incredible Connection can get a mess approved and go live with it... so can Jozie.
