Ward 134’s councillor, the Democratic Alliance’s Devon Steenkamp, said he understood that residents are frustrated pi22ed off by having their lives disrupted by unexpected power cuts after organising their days around expected load-shedding.

Cojs network is pretty much held together by bubble gum and prayer at this point, we been switched over to a completely different block, along with it seems a few other lucky areas , so that block is now completely overloaded , so when our overlords deem us worthy of power we are lucky to get 200v, assuming of course it doesn’t immediately trip and only get restored just in time for the next loadshedding block to kick in.

Makes me super happy that I’m paying these extra connection , grid and “demand management” fees each month….

Really really really feel for our neighbours who are still at the mercy of these palookas.

Some of Edgemead in Cape Town was off from midnight on Saturday until 08h30 yesterday, 4 substations burnt out (according to the engineers as a result of the load shedding off/on), how much longer can I national grid last?

Can't be too long now before they lose the grid and the whole country turns into a KZN of a few months ago.

Bet you Eskom is not paying for the faults and things that break due to loadshedding.

Aren't strikes and protests the main cause of the latest round of rotational blackouts?
They just need a competent CEO/GCE that is not scared to restructure and get rid of the bloat and incompetent employees on every level.

Lack of law enforcement here is also a concern. The message has now been sent that the country cannot be held at ransom like this.

The CEO said loadshedding is going to get worse until 2026.

It's all these fscking politicians & "experts" getting clickbait articles published with plans on fixing loadshedding quickly, seeding false hope.
