Claim for rented house renovations

Someone said I should keep all receipts from fixing up my house and claim. Does anyone here know what percentage I could get back? Is it the VAT?

If you're renting it, the owner might pay you, but he'll have to approve the renovations.

I'm doing the same, how the hell do I claim those things (the costs for the electricians and whatnot) on E-filing next year?
