Once dated a girl like that. She got upset that I had not spoken to her for 2 days when we had only been seeing each other for about a week. Broke it off real fast. Clinginess is bad enough while dating but I hear it turns into something much worse if you ever marry them.

Cius is right, it does become a problem if the issue isn't curbed in the first place. To be honest, I was once like that too when I was younger. I learnt it the hard way (I lost someone) and now I couldn't care less if I don't get chatted to for a few days - I always find something to keep myself busy and get on with life. Sometimes a guy needs space and time out with his mates, she needs to learn to respect that boundary. If not, get rid of her.

28, clingy, over-enthusiastic, gets a bit ape when you don't call her.
You're in the friend phase. She's looking for a husband.
Unless you are looking to get married - walk away very fast.

yes what he said. she's looking to settle and she's testing you

I'm the same. I can easily go a day or two without speaking to my SO, but most of them don't seem to appreciate it. I don't think it's really clinginess, though. They just like to know you're still there and thinking of them.

Just say hello once a day and save yourself the nagging. :p

A day or 2 without talking to the woman you love? I'm a guy and find that really effing weird. I'm in constant chats with my SO and I'm in no way clingy, and neither is she. I guess we're just very good friends as much as we are lovers.

I'd say, have a heart to heart chat with her and see how it goes. You never know, this girl might turn out to be the girl of your dreams.

I very recently dated a guy that couldn't go an hour without messaging me. Even now that we are broken up he keeps whatsapping and calling me. I hate guys that are super clingy. I can easily go a day or 2 without speaking to the person I'm dating. I like to lead my own life and can't take it if someone has to know my every movement all the time

Or have a Penis to Vagina chat with her and if the sex is not enough to make up for the crazy... well then run.

Pho3nix, this us my final verdict. You sound really annoyed with this and chances are it will never stop. So either accept it and see where everything goes, or start a reply to one of her messages with a random female name
