This isn't a couple of PCs in a cupboard somewhere. They will need to support most of their services for a lot of their customers who would want to move to the local region.

Completely understand that. It takes time. So why the constant PR and marketing for something that can't be used.

Wait until it's ready, (work with your lead customers in private), then announce it when we can actually buy it!

Its just marketing. It also gives their customers time to start planning and costing the move. But I see the point you are trying to make.
