Very disappointed in Zille. - she is mirroring sentiments expressed by many myBB DA supporters. I thought last time was just honest mistake. This looks almost intentional now. This is likely to erode voter base that was gained by Maimane. Sad.

Zille is is the classic example of the white liberal....when it no longer feels it is in control, fear of that powerlessness drives it to try and reassert its control...- took me a while to realise, but I have....that is why I will no longer be voting DA.

I don't see it. Speaking the truth might actually win them even more votes. Most of the middle/lower middle class black people are tired of the political BS and SJWs like Miamane running the show.
Miamane is actually a very weak candidate and him not having a backbone might cost more votes than any of Zilles tweets.

First accept the fact that the DA has no chance whatsoever to beat the ANC, even if they didn't have these tweets and even if the CoCT didn't have corruption allegations and a mismanaged drought.

Then the answer to your question reveals itself: it makes no difference in the national election picture, but locally it DOES. The DA have become complacent in Cape Town and need a wake-up call to correct things.
