Iburst and MTN has (is having) had problems getting this to work properly. So I doubt that Cell C will want to burn their fingers with this. Would be nice though, yes.

If i recall, iBurst had no problems with it.

They had, at least initially. The 64kbits/sec throttle after reaching the cap didn't kick in for many. Iburst was furious for the "abuse" and wanted to cut the "abusers'" accounts.

As for MTN, see the R50 uncapped bundle thread, still every now and then someone reporting they do several gigs in 24 hours.

In All honesty I am happy with the Cell C rates I pay. I don't see why Cell C needs to match Vodacom's offer straight away.
They started this price reduction war, and Vodacom's new offer while good for the consumer... will reduce the load on Cell C's network.
One thing Cell C can do right NOW to reduce the burden on their own network especially during month ends is to implement a carry over system.
During this time they can increase their network coverage, continue to invest in their infrastructure and get rid of any teething bugs..
I am not a fan of this night owl type packages that broadband service providers promote........why should it make a difference what time we use our data!
In six months from now...Cell C could start rolling out other promotions, maybe one for the low budget (250mb?) and one for the very high end (large cap) and smartphone+data+free minutes promotions etc

I agree with IceQB - CELL C should match the Red new boy's on the block with something mind blowing how about giving everyone 4 gig data :) and 10 gig of data :) Just double it up and you will be the leaders with many packets on the network just the problem is the strain on the network would be nice for 4months or so as an introductory to new cell c members joining the MEN in Black company :p

If I was Cell C, I'd let you exhaust your 60/24Gb as fast as you want then you'd need another package. Why wait a year for a customer?

they still cheaper then Vodacon, i mean you will wait till 12am to start downloading, then forget to stop it in the morning... What Cell C should do is Zero rate all updates like windows, anti-virus, etc. they will win alot out of it. i mean they can cache the updates so no lose to them.

Maybe something to do with keeping the customer for a year, would be my guess. Now once my year is up, will look for the best offer, and go with that, if it could be Cell C again, that would be great.

Heh, indeed, that would score them some major points. Are the downloads from their site not zero-rated?.
