i bought some stuff from pcshopping.co.za, less than a week later i recieved it(in durban), so thats quite good. however, they shipped the wrong colour fans to me.

so i emailed them, and they decided to send all 4 of the fans in the right colour to me, for FREE!
(now i have a lot of extra fans lying around....:p )

2 weeks?

Dude, i ordered over $1000 worth of watercooling stuff and a PSU, and a WHOLE lot of other crap from the USA and it arrive 6 days after i placed the order. 2 weeks is ridiculous.

I searched pcshopping for `sd card' and found them to be a little expensive... granted they come with cameras, but if you just want a card it's a bit steep :D

Two weeks delivery is not that good, but it beats dell's over a month situation - I am waiting for a 10 grand pc to arrive more than a month later!

Why would he? I've ordered a large consignment of playing cards (similar to Magic) from an online store in Seattle, that arrived on my desk in 4 days. I've also ordered stuff from Amazon.co.uk, that arrived on my desk in 4 days. If customs and our local couriers are working smoothly, there's no reason that something can't arrive safely in under a week.

Ye, I can vouch for DJV, his self-modded rig is quite a sight to behold indeed!

It's more like a "self-made rig", but it is indeed quite an impressive effort

Back on topic, I generally appreciate it when a company fixes its mistakes like that. It's far better than accusing you of lying or something.

In general, Amazon.com (or .co.uk) are unmatched for the excellence of their site, along with the service. Prices vary, but there are many bargains under the "Used and New" links.

Hardware sites are not keen to trade with darkest Africa, so the ones that do, tend to offset the risk with inflated prices.

That's because Dell build to order. Whether you're a corporate or a guy on the street, if you want a desktop, laptop, server, SAN or blade servers you have to wait the same ammount of time.
