There is a SONY blu-ray player I want to buy from Amazon UK. The advert states that they ship worldwide. When I get to the Checkout, I am told that delivery to this address is not possible, I must choose an alternative supplier.

There is no alternative supplier, only them

I want to ask them if they will deduct the 20% VAT on this item and calculate shipping. The method of communicating seems to be to to tick various boxes until you find one that allows you to submit a comment. After about a week I receive a generic reply referring me to their FAQ or help terms and conditions, which do not have the answer I want

Has anyone had success in communicating with Amazon as a buyer? If you are a seller, it seems much easier

As for your question, not as far as I know. Only once you've bought said item can you liaise with the supplier.

It's from the UK, maybe use a forwarding service?
Usually buy a lot of stuff from Amazon but they are a little finicky about what they will ship and what they won't.

Would recommend Amazon.com rather but not sure if Blu-Ray's are region locked :\

I communicated with them by Skype before. I have a UK account. Needed to return my Kindle. Not sure which number I dialed. Must have been a number on the invoice or something
