The details are still very sketchy, but:

Thebe, Shaftsinkers (I think), Transnet, EnviroServ/Interwaste (in all likelihood) a logistics solutions company, a water treatment company, a construction consortium, smaller construction companies who specialise in pipeline building and management, one of the large steel manufacturers like Trident, a silica sand or ceramic sand manufacturer, an energy consulting company, an environmental protection consulting company, and many, many more. Those are just the "macro-beneficiaries"...

Also think downstream of the actual fracking operations.

- Pipelines and distribution.
- Industrial, commercial and domestic appliances that use the stuff.
- Metering, measurement and billing, at supplier, distributor, municipal, and end-user level.
- and more.

...the downstream effect is significant, and over the medium term likely to yield better returns because gov is likely to give most of the higher-up cream to cadres via a new Gas Agency.

Global petroleum company Shell has applied for an exploration licence in the environmentally sensitive Karoo. Several other companies — Bundu Oil & Gas, Falcon Oil & Gas, and most recently an Australian company, Challenger Energy, have also applied for licences.
