I'm very confused.

Neither Facebook, Google nor Apple actually write news articles last time I checked they just drive people to them.

So basically what this is all about is that local companies are failing at SEO and now it's someone Apple/Google/Facebook's fault? What?

They got time and money to waste ... , and when they finally, get their report what constructive are they going to do with, other than use it for toilet paper.

Live view Apple, Google, Facebook.

Funny how the Competition Commission has absolutely nothing to say about Eskom, possibly the most egregious example of market manipulation and monopoly in South Africa at the moment, but they have lots of time to go sticking their noses into free markets where anybody with the ingenuity and money can freely compete. They should be focusing ALL their energy into breaking up Eskom's monopoly and stranglehold on this country instead of this rubbish.

The investigation is to learn what SEO is at taxpayers expense.

They're going to get really worked up once they discover the terms White Hat and Black Hat.

If you see the quality of that government app store and then you moan about competition. Somethings just can't be BBEEEE'ed.

You can have the best SEO in the world and you can still end up best of the rest. It hasn’t been only about SEO in a very long time especially in competitive categories.

Yeah but I don’t understand how Apple/Google/Facebook are considered the competition here?

Is it just me or has the competition commission ratcheted up their activity by like a million percent in the last year and a bit.

Not WhatsApp? Aren't they pretty dominant in SA without any form of interoperability to the platforms (like the EU is insisting from them now)?
