Complaint to ICASA -LTE Smart Uncapped

Hi Guys,

I would like to know who will be keen to join me in lodging a complaint against Telkom for their slow LTE services in the evenings? I have tested the last couple of days and found the following:

Doing a local file transfer at 9 pm I get 60Mbps but doing a speed test at 9 pm the results are 1.2Mbps. I have my setup aligned very good signal is full at
RSRP: -85dBm
SINR: 23dB
Day time downloads reach up to 89Mbps

To me, it seems like we being throttled or Telkom does not have the capacity to handle the amount of devices connected at peak times.....

Do you think it will be worth it to do something like this?

Let me know because if I were to do this I will need some more evidence from users that have the same issue.

My evidence will be useless to your cause. Perhaps it's a local tower issue.

You kind sir are one of the lucky ones. I have been searching forms and there are plenty of users that have this issue. This morning my dl speed is 80Mbps

It is probly a tower issue but Telkom just ignores it.

Try on the 1800 MHz frequency and see if that improves you evening experience.

Was just about to say the same thing, upgrade router firmware and change between the 2 frequencies.

Which area are you?, I'm in Pretoria Villieria with this exact same issue. I'm just tired of complaining. Telkom does not give a single fck.

I get about the same, come 7pm I get 1mbps.

in LTE which signal do you want low? and which one's high?
