I would just like to compliment Shaun Green once again on his outstanding customer service.

I called him about my problem with my aerial and he insisted that he would come out with a team of engineers and sort out any issue i had. I could not believe that he would take the time to do this. Shaun sent a man by the name of Smitty and he was fantastic. He spent a great ammount of time on my roof and resolved all the issues i had. This is truly great customer service that one does not see in South Africa today.

Shaun and Smitty called me at least 10 times to check if i was happy and they have really restored my faith in this company.

I am so impressed with this service and wish there were more people like this.
I must just point out that i was made aware via the grapevine that Smitty's son was in hospital for a serious incident that occured the day before and still he took the time to come out and assist me.

Well done guys.

No he is actually the so dedicated to helping us and i advise you to contact him if you have any problems. He is really only interested in helping iburst customers.
If he leaves iburst so am i. Smitty also was unbelievable. Truly excellent service.

My signal was crappy and they put my aerial on top of my tv aerial , much better and like i said before line of sight does matter. ( i was told by slimothy that it does not, so much for the boy genius)

Especially not with the higher frequencies and lower signal levels :rolleyes:

I got the same argument from the "experts" initially, so just ignored them...

Help needed

Hi guys i have the UTD and have had the external aerial for many months now.
The problem i am having is that when i connect the aerial , my signal drops to nothing and the speed , signal is non existent. I got a brand new aerial today from Webb and its still doing the same so i think its obviously the modem.

What can i do or who can i contact at WBS ?

Please can you help me ?
So it wasn't the modem after all?

Yeah i think the modem was fine all along but i cannot belive the signal strength. On tracestar it says my signal is about 60-65 strength and it says signal 9/10 or 10/10.

hehe, I gotta agree with that. So far, all my contacts with Shaun have been highly pleasant. He has always been polite (called him at 22:00 on a friday night - and he actually listened to me, and sorted everything out) and helpful. Dont we all just wish that WBS would only employ ppl like Shaun and Smitty. That would make it the best internet service in SA.

I honestly think that I would have left iBusrt by now, if not for Shaun.

wd guys ;)

Yeah Shaun, smitty and Porcia as far as I'm concerned are a credit to the company, now all they need to do is get rid of the "weeds" that are cluttering up wbs and employ more people that care about their customers.

Talking of "weeds", the complete accounts department could do with a change of staff, as I have not found one of them to keep to their promise of calling back when there is an account query.

Giving your antenna height sounds like your only sollution

Speak to Shaun Green and get a technition around to point the antenna in the right direction

(Preferably Smitty)

I would LOVE to go and work as the Technical Support Manager at WBS, I'll kick some serious ass and 'educate' my staff as to what their customers (and I) expect from them.

It's an attitude change that's needed and once people start getting excellent service from WBS and spread the word, Telkom will see their customers disappear.... FAST!

Unfortunately this is not the case, which is a big pity - I believe in the iburst technology, I think it's super, but not in the people. Make me believe in the people...

I also received excellent service from Shaun and Smitty. Called them Wednesday and Smitty was out to test for signal an hour later. Came by on Thursday morning to install. Excellent and efficient service :D .

So far so good. Truly refreshing to receive such superb service from an SA company for change. :cool:
