Easiest is SUPER. www.erightsoft.com
Then compress it to a h264 mp4 file.

Use Isobuster first to open the image and extract the movie files inside.

Are the movie files AVI/MOV/MKV/MP4? Or is it a DVD movie image (.VOB) files?
If it's VOB's, extract the image using IsoBuster and then use Handbrake (Google it)
to encode that to an H264 MP4 file.

Is the data already in a compressed format? What kind of data is it?

Will RAR not compress it below 700 Mb?

One other thing to remember is that high levels of data compression make CDs more difficult to read. Burn the disc as slow as you can to get a good read.

The data in question is a office suite - so i need it to autorun - one of my friends took all the winxp/me/98 versions (4.7gb) and somehow compressed it to fit a 700mb disk. (PS - if you copy it from the disk to ur hdd its a 4.7gb file again?) I streamlined all the updates/sp for office 03 into one - now its a 900mb file. Also i was just really curious how my buddy did it - he doesnt want to tell me! :(

RAR or WinZIP offer the best compression around. Use the advanced deflate option in Winzip to get the max. You will need WinZIP to unzip the files again.

As to how your friend did it, maybe he stripped out all the junk or options (other language support, addons, clipart, demos, templates etc). If you're
saying he compessed a 4.7GB collection of files into 700MB and was able to
recover the full 4.7GB afterwards he could only have done so using ZIP or RAR. If those don't work for you, sorry - he's BSing you.

hmmm, he must have used an executable shell... like a setup program. Can you google for free setup programs and play around with them and see which one works best for you.

go to Google and search for "free setup programs" or installers

Try giving 7Zip a go. They offer a pretty powerful compression ratio, I've used it with stuff before.

I also have a few disks like this, the Office 2003 All in One cd, and a Windows 2003 Server that contains Standard and Enterprise. I can't figure out how they compressed it to fit on one disk.
