Computer getting power but won't turn on

My tower PC suddenly switched itself off (I wasn't there, so I don't know if it displayed any error messages), and now won't turn on. It's not the display or the screen.

The motherboard doesn't have LEDs, but the GPU LED turns on, so I don't think it's the PSU.

I've visually checked all the component connector cables, and there's nothing obviously wrong or burnt out. I've also tried a different power cable.

Any ideas what I should check next?


My build:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600
MOBO: MSI B350 PC Mate AM4
RAM: 2x8GB Corsair LPX DDR4 3000
GPU: ASUS RX 570 4GB
PSU: Andyson 600W 80+ Gold Modular
SSD: Kingston 480GB
CPU Cooler: Deepcool Gammaxx 400
Fans 3x Corsair high airflow 120mm

Running Windows 10 64bit

Reseat all the internals; cables and parts, one by one. While the mains are disconnected.

PSU could be busted and still supply some current for LEDs.

Check all the capacitors, any damage or leaks.

Only power on with bare minimum components, example: just RAM and CPU with screen connected.

Should I take the GPU out completely, or can I just unplug the power supply?
 
Sometimes parts or cables gets dislodged and reseating them could fix that. If possible, then yes.

Okay, unplugged everything but the CPU and power button cable, and tried it with one stick of RAM at a time. Nothing.

Capacitors all look normal.
 
Disconnect everything other than CPU, CPU cooler, PSU cables to motherboard.. even RAM removed..

Power on now and listen for beeps (assuming motherboard has on board speakers) if mobo and CPU are okay, you should hear beep sequence corresponding to RAM issue.. if you hear no beeps (again assuming onboard speaker) your mobo/CPU/PSU is borked and you are going to have to swap out one at a time to narrow.dowm which..

I don't believe it has on board speakers...

Might be time to take it to the shop rather than spend money on a buzzer/speaker.

Remove that as well and jumper the pins with a screwdriver.

PS. also reseat the cpu.
 
As a stupid question
Is the PC actually not turning on?
fans not moving? GPU fans not moving, disks not spinning up? etc.
