Concern over "out of control" Eskom

Malema promises no loadshedding in 24 hours if he is president.
That is a problem with democracy when majority is uneducated, you can promise anything and people can not distinguish what is empty promise and what is the right thing to do.
And most importantly what will cost them more in long run.

If you are stupid enough to vote ANC then a Sassa grant is the best bet of a reliable pay cheque.

The only way you can "fix" Eskom is by selling off the assets and letting private industry fully into the market. Its the only way South Africa has been able to solve all the other sectors the ANC has run into the ground.

Imagine if the country could only have one airliner or one postal service.

Same guys who trashed it for 20 years telling us they can fix it. No, they cannot fix it. They only want to win elections and stuff their pockets. They will say anything, promise anything, threaten anything if it gives them access to public money.

FYI it's not Eskom that's out of control. They entire government is spiraling aimlessly towards destruction like a ballistic missile and taking the country with it. The ANC is out of control.

DA will encourage solar and then tax you for having it. Eskom fails or doesn't fail its a win win.

Imagine that, taxing usage of the sun. Imagined the audacious, supposed self importance of any government claiming ownership of star. In all of human history combined, not even the mightiest empires or emperors featured themselves so prominently as to owning the sun. Goes to show the quality leaders these days. Their arrogance knows no bounds.

If people get taxed for usage of the sun then government would be responsible for damage from solar flares.

The DA also can`t fix it, they don`t have the spine to do what is needed.
Pray tell what is it that they need a spine for? I really can't think of any way to fix Eskom. Really interested in your answer here.

The general in experience in life is, if something thats fixable cannot be fixed, the problem is from "within".
-The only thing that cannot be fixed="Stupid". You have to get reborn literally (The Great Reset for you) for this, and thats hardly happenning yet, can't imaging any old soul will give his life to be a baby again, mainly because of the promise to be.
-Stupidity can be a complex thing so much so highly educated's cannot understand or grasp that.
Hitting reset is starting over, which is different from fixing. Going to take many years and more money than we have. We will have to borrow money that the next 5 or 6 generations will have to pay for. To fix the country, not just Eskom.

We have the resources to get out of this mess. What we need is people in charge who know how to plan and implement those plans. Not just pie in the sky talking.

They will have to fire 99% of the employees and basically start from scratch. Yes Eskom can not be fixed in its current form.

Does the -Binary Code-....(Yes/No, Up/Down, Left/Right, In/Out, Stupid/Clever-...TIME)... makes potential "clever" people stupid......Its playing out now over the Globe for all to see and experience, it took only 30 years-?

Heres a box fight with educated stupidity...Hidden message for Capatonians from California.

The problem is not Eskom. The problem is the artificial monopoly that Eskom has enjoyed for all these years and the fact that no other players are allowed to participate in the electricity market. Nothing will be fixed until the electricity market is completely deregulated and Eskom's monopoly on electricity is broken. Eskom being run into the ground is one thing, but then not allowing the private sector to fill in and take over is completely unforgivable.

Never mind Eskom Power Stations, their Sub Stations keep on "breaking" as well.

Will just escalate as elections creep closer.

No it's not. Eskom has an ANC problem. Fix that and everything else will get better, even if they stay a Monopoly.

As long as the production and sale of electricity is in the hands of the state nothing will ever get better, no matter who is in control. Electricity is far too important a commodity to be left in the hands of politicians and governments. They can't make the hard decisions, like cutting off people who don't pay, because they are too scared of the political consequences. Municipalities should also not be in the business of selling electricity. These old outdated ideas of centralised electricity control and production simply don't work anymore.
