They dont have any competitive advantage be it from price or service perspective so there is absolutely no reason, unless you are working for the govt, to fly with them.

Best prices, direct to JFK, great service and extra legroom even on the older planes. I was happy with my choice.

The employees and crew are very far removed from all the BS and mismanagement, and quite proud of their jobs.

I've had the same experiences, had some awesome chats with the pursers on my last flight with SAA, they're as passionate and approachable as anyone else in the industry (who actually want to be there)
