Again I agree but a lot of people in this thread argue on the basis that every Palestinian is a terrorist in training. The Palestinians are far too often judged by the actions of the extremists...

And Not Israel?

We are going to have to start being neutral.

If the Palestinians doesn't want Hamas. They should stand up and say it. And stop sheltering them.

Who started this? Did Israel start this? How?
( serious questions as it seems they had to start this and I cant find evidence.)

Sure! Again my question was why are the outcry only relevant when Islamists are under attack but when the Islamists do the murdering and slaughtering then all is kosher?.

Elections that where last held 8 years ago -doesn't sound very democratic.

And? Why did they vote for terrorists? Why have there not been an election? Remember you get the government you vote for. They voted for it? Yes? No? And if they didn't want them Why not cry out to the world to come remove them and give them an election?

There is so many things that doesn't make sense?

Who started this?
And then the biggest question is who is going to stop this?

Crying democracy is not going to work. Islam isn't the shining example of democracy.

It was still their choice. It is time the own up to it.

I broke my ankle because I decided to wear lady gaga shoes.
Now I can
Blame the store for selling them
Blame the country for importing them
Blame the media for showing it to me
Blame lady gaga.

It's not my fault is it.

I am fat. I eat McDonald everyday.
It is MacDonald's fault
It is the spoon's fault
IT is the street's fault
IT is the the government's fault
IT is the american's fault

See I'm fat but it is not my fault.

What does Hamas want?

Yep, it's too simplistic to blame the people of Gaza. They must be gatvol of their lot and when Hamas come along and dangle a carrot, maybe they bit. Who knows?

What we do know is that now Hamas rule over Gaza with a reign of terror, torture and murder. They feel nothing for the lives of the people and use them as pawns in their game of power. And the people are trapped in the middle, damned if they do, damned if they don't. A massive catastrophe in front of our eyes but the world still thinks it's as simple as blaming Israel.

And the deaths continue.

The people of Palestine made a mistake, guess they are paying for that now huh? People's mistakes shouldn't be punished by shells from the IDF.

Unfortunately nothing about this conflict is simple, no party is innocent or entirely to blame.

Punished? Is this the martyr thing now?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaza_Strip

I'm trying to make sense of it. What does Hamas want and who started this?

I'm going to ask this until the end of days ne? Since nobody has answered me where do "they" go? Since people has been saying that they should go back from where they came from?

And I asked you before:

Please do not put words in my mouth, you are full of it. Please go back through my post history and find one post where I say Israel does not have the right to exist or that Jews should leave....

All I have argued for is an acceptance that the people living in Palestine before Israel was formed have a right to live there as well. That and the killing of civilians seems to be far to easy for the IDF>

Wasn't there almost always an Israel?
Which before are you talking about?

This thread is 179 pages long, the roots of the problem go back to the formation of Israel in 1948 (I posted the link for you)

After which there where a number of wars where a large number of Palestinians fled the fighting or where driven out. The problem as it stands is that you have a huge number of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, living in two tiny strips of land. In addition the West Bank has been eroded by illegal Jewish settlements over the last twenty years.

As far as I am aware Hamas want to form a Palestinian Islamic state, most likely incorporating the West Bank and Gaza. Israel has rejected a two state solution and continues to blockade Gaza due to security concerns. I believe that most Palestinians feels that they are refugees in their own land and that the creation of Israel forced them leave an area where they had been for many generations.

If you want to know anything else specific I will try to answer but there are more than enough links posted in the thread previously.

Naturally since Hamas is not a democratic organization. Their intention is the creation of a barbaric fundamentalist tyranny with the stoning, hanging and beheading that goes with it. Yet the Israelis are told this must be allowed to happen.

People make bad choices when they are pushed into a corner...

Indeed. Fatah failed them and now they pay the price.

i have come to the conclusion that there are more die-hard zionist sympathisers in this country (and this forum), than there are in many pasts of Israel! :(

I guess the gross human rights abuses and atrocities of war being committed by the Zionist Occupation Army are totally cool with some people. even if Hamas stops the rocket fire, that will not change the abhorrent conditions which Israhell has imposed on the Palestinian's. and don't bother replying to this with further blind zionist rhetoric about the glorious state of Israel and its divine right to rule the land. There is no point trying to argue, so i am unsubscribing from this particular thread.

Perhaps one day, the good Jewish people will be able to rid their ranks of the lunatic zionists extremists. and when that day comes, I hope that the picture below is what we can see on a daily basis.

You do realise that if the majority of a country are Muslim and choose Islamic law then that is democracy right? We may think it's barbaric but if the majority of the people choose it then what right do you have to tell them no? If you want there to be another form of government based on Western ideals against the will of the majority then you can't really call it democracy.

Edit: Alternatively Israel could allow all Palestinians to return to Israel under one state but they don't want that either?
