Conflict flares up in Gaza again

Without starting a fight. Why did Israel decide that Hamas was lying about the two kids?
( Besides the obvious that they are kind of terroristy and I would not really trust them either, but bombing? ) Is that where the statements come from that Binyamin Netanyahu is a cnut?

Yep, the land is definitely getting too small... but you should remember that up until recently there were more Jews living in the State of New York, than in Israel.
And you should also remember that none of the surrounding Arab states will allow any Palestinian refugees to enter their territories (Egypt has temporarily opened it's borders last week).
But those Arab states refuse point blank to help out the Palestinians.

I think the problem is that Arabs aren't one big happy family, they are many different sects and tribes and they really don't get along. I don't think the Egyptians feel much kinship with the Palestinians despite them both being "Arabs".

I think the problem is that even if Hamas was innocent of this act their actions and ideology in the past make them seem like pretty good suspects.

I agree democracy is not just about the will of the majority, personally I think all states should be secular but If you are going to grant the Israeli's the right to establish a state based of Judaism surely you should give Muslims the right to live in an Islamic state?

I agree ideally there should be a separation of state and religion. No issue with Islamic states or any other 'religious' states as long as they adhere to certain fundamental Democratic principles. However that is certainly not what Hamas advocate and not what would transpire if Palestinians are granted sovereignty with Hamas in power.

And Egypt hates Hamas because Hamas are descended from the Muslim brotherhood which has been causing all the kark in Egypt.

The Palestinians are basically Arab outcasts. They do not want them neither want to be involved with them. Seems nobody can or want to explain why! They use the Palestine issue to get at Israel. It seems that all Islamists have a religious obligation to destroy Israel, the jews and all other infidels in the name of their Allah!

Possibly, however the Egyptians have shown no signs of wanting to open up their border to Gaza. The only country in the region that accepts Palestinian refugees is Jordan.

That we all or most know and accept! As I stated earlier I cannot reconcile the difference between the local islamists I got to know and respect with what is happening in the rest of the world where Islamists are involved? I cannot fathom the world wide outcry against israel for what's happening yet the same crowds are mum about the rest of the Islamic inflected atrocities all over the world!
