Today was the last day for me to have the 7 day promo, waited for 6pm and I was told I will disconnect automatically on live chat.

15 minutes later still connected and I see (spend limit details R150.54 left of R250).

How am I supposed to have the sim configured for it to not have any peak spend limit?

They don't automatically include the 250 for the unlimited data in your spend limit.. so, set your spend limit to 250, this will ensure you don't exceed 250 a month.. However, you will have to ensure that, your devices don't use rain data during peak times..

The first month is Prorata so depending on when you got your simcard and when the 7 days free ends even if you set your spend limit to R250 the first month because the R250 unlimited will be prorata you will be able to use some peak data for the first month if that makes sense. You did not get the unlimited for the full month so the R250 is prorata and in your case it seems the prorata amount is R99.54 and your spend limit is set to R250 hence the peak time data allowed. From next month you will pay R250 and will be on the R250 spend limit from the 1st day of the new month so then you will get capped.

Yeah it's fine like that. As I explained is because the first month is prorata R250 due to you getting the sim in the middle of the month and only starting after the 7 days free. Your invoices would confirm this pro rata amount for the unlimited addon.

It depends on when you activated your SIM. I activated my SIM in the middle of the month and after my 7 days , they gave me over about 2 Gigs of peak time data which I didn't end up using so they only debited me around R150 for my first month

tl;dr is, you don't pay the full R250 for your first month if you sign up after the 1st date of the month.
