connect printer to laptop without lpt socket?

I have a printer at home I'd like to use, only thing is my printer doesnt have a printer socket. Is there a usb to printer socket thingy I can get somewhere?

I assume you mean your LAPTOP doesn't have a printer 'socket' (parallel port?)?

You can try your nearest computer shop for it as I have seen some shops advertise parallel-to-usb converters.
