Connecting 2 computers to E220

After 2 years, I have now mastered the art of connecting to the internet.
Now my next project is to connect my laptop and my desktop to the same modem. I cannot remove my E220 modem as it is nailed to my desktop stand. Can this be done? My laptop is fullhouse.
