Hi people

I'm trying to set up ADSL over a Wifi connection. I have a Gigabyte wireless router/switch type access point which the notebook connects to using 802.11 b. I'm using PPPoE on the actual notebook rather than getting the Wifi access point to connect to the modem (using the standard Marconi modem). It's been working like this for about 2 months, but has recently begun causing problems... the connection will drop after about half an hour, and then will not reconnect until I restart the notebook. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Isn't convergence a beauty?? [:D] Reinstall from scratch if that is easy enough. Maybe you might have dropped a protocol or something toying around. It does happen. Are you using bridging?

Try using raspppoe rather than Telkom pppoe.
I have not tried it in an environment like yours i.e. wifi, but it has resolved problems on two other instillations that I have, both running win2000.

The only wifi setup I have uses the Marconi router connected to a netgear hub / base station and that has no problems.

Cheers
