Hi,

I have been given an old Vodafone Option quad lite 3G card. The software that I have downloaded for it (from the vodacom website) does not offer MTN as one of the networks to connect to. I am an MTN subscriber and wish to use my sim card to access the web using this 3G card. Does anyone know how I can set this up? Or if there is any other software I can download for it to work with MTN?

Any help would be appeciated.

Thanks.

Good day,

Please try the following http://multinet.diginext.com/

MultiNet supports GPRS, HsCSD, CDMA, EDGE, UMTS(3G), WLAN, LAN and Dial-up in 16 languages and has settings for more then 150 Mobile Operators and Service providers.

Use this app and it should help you to connect using MTN your ISP

Hope this helps

Yep, tried it with my contract sim card and works great! Thanks:D

Want to now get a prepaid data card and load prepaid data bundles. So info MTNDD please:

1) How does one purchase PPDB? Through MTN service centre or does pick n pay etc sell data bundles? or

2) Do I just buy airtime and somehow convert.......

3) Does this PPDB expire?

Thanks

Hi,

Sorry for the delay it's been a little bit of a busy day haven't had much time to be on this site today

1) How does one purchase PPDB? Through MTN service centre or does pick n pay etc sell data bundles? = The only way to buy a bundle is by topping up airtime then you convert it by dialing 141 or 555 and selecting the bundle you want check Data bundle prices before converting.

2) Do I just buy airtime and somehow convert....... Answer above spot on

3) Does this PPDB expire? Does a prepaid data bundle expire - Yes after 30 days and if the bundle expires during the month you'll have to wait until after the 30 days to load another bundle

Hope this helps

Thanks MTN DD,

Unfortunately no luck with the Multinet software. It does not seem to pick up the data card.
