Connection Problems on 4mbit

Hi

Like most others, I was upgraded to 4mbit speeds last night, and everything has been running smoothly up until 30 minutes ago. My connection recently died for 10 minutes, and even though I was synced, I was unable to authenticate with my isp. I finally managed to connect again now, but I can barely load most international websites. I also had to refresh 3 times before myadsl.co.za loaded.

I'm currently synced at 4096/384, connected to WebAfrica shaped 3gig account, and live in the Southern Suburbs, Cape Town.

Anyone else experiecing this?

Second time Cape Town has gone down today, it was down for quite some time this morning. Not sure if it just affects the 4Mb lines or if it is a general thing, though having phoned around it points to 4Mb connections primarily.

Its been up and down today in Cape Town not just the 4mbit lines but all the lines. We've had huge problems at our offices (512)

It seems you have to reset your router if you notice a major breakdown in download speeds.

Did you power cycle the router - suggest you leave it off for at least 30 secs.

I have the same problem.All of last night connection was running full bore no hasseles at all except for a slow international.

Now however everything is just almost dead.Multiple re-loads are required.

Your line speed is approximately 134 Kbps or 16.4 kBytes/sec

Nice for 4 meg :/
