My experience in Durban is that majority of the places I go to has great Cell C, about 5% of the time where I don't get signal I switch on Data Roaming

Agreed. It pains me (no really it kills my soul) to say this but Vodacom  is the better of the lot.

... I feel so dirty right now :(

I disagree. MTN prepaid wins over Vodacom prepaid in some areas.

MTN LTE not available for prepaid where Vodacom is.
Vodacom 79c prepaid call rate promo means no on net call bonuses where MTN allows plenty of on net incentives with a permanent 79c rate.
Vodacom has 30days data expiry where MTN has 60days or more. MTN also still have the 50% extra data promo
MTN Zone discounts are WAY higher resulting in lower call rates than Vodacom4less.

I think MTN has a slight upper hand when it come to value but coverage one can't compare cause I might have great speeds and you might have EDGE or God forbid GPRS only coverage.

So yeah its a 50/50 between MTN and Vodacom but they are certainly miles ahead of the rest.

Well, forget about value for money. I'd pay more just not to be inconvenienced.

The real test is this: you have been billed incorrectly and your SIM stopped working. Do you rather want to deal with Vodacom or MTN to try and sort it out.
