i have been experiencing constant disconnects lately.
Over the past 2 weeks, every hour at least. in the past day, every 2 mins, literally. Last week, telkom tested and said everything is OK.
I stay in Cape Town, Ottery exchange.
My 4mb line has been fine for the past year. its' not being overcooked (which can cause disconnects if you line is set too fast) Could it be my telkom 5100 router? entering the admin on the router doesnt work either. only managed to get into 10.0.0.2 once while trying for 10 mins. I reset the router, switched it off for 10 mins etc... there is no noise on the line either.
my ISP says no other calls were made today regarding the issue.
I obviously dont want to invest R600 on a router that's not needed. and Telkom's helpdesk isnt a reliable diagnostic source either.
