Hey guys, I keep getting small disconnects with my 384 connection. What happens is that for anything between 10 seconds and 2 minutes, my connection goes down. It happens maybe 20 times a day - not exactly sure 'coz I've never actually counted and often I don't actually notice the small drops if I'm not actively using the connection. When I do notice it, and it drives me off the ****ING wall, is when I play Warcraft, and end up with 3-5 disconnects EVERY session.

It used to happen with my old Billion router and it still happens with my Netgear wireless router. I've called Telskommel, and they can apparently see that the line disconnects all the time, so two weeks ago they sent round a techie who ended up replacing the phone wire that runs from the telephone pole to my house. That solved sweet **** all. I'm typing this now, after having had my 7th game of warcraft disconnect on me tonight. Any ideas what could cause my connection to be so unstable?

Hmmm... looking at some of the other threads. Mebbe I should replace my filters?

It could be the filter, best way to test is remove it completely and leave the phone off. If that doesnt solves, maybe remove a surge protection unit if you are using one, ive experienced issues with those before. If all else fails, look at the SNR and ATT values in your router, this might provide some insight as to whether its line related or hardware. Post those values here if you are unsure how to decipher..

Awesome, thanks Surv0. This morning I have had my handset and filter uplugged from the line, and still got 2 discs in 3 games. Gonna try remove the surge protector next.

Meh, looks like somebody's already removed my surge protection. Line attenuation upstream is 39db, and downstream is 12db. The noise margin (which I assume is the same thing as SNR) is 23db down and 25db up.

Hmmm... updated my router's firmware and it seems more stable. Haven't had a disconnect in the last 2 hours.
