We have market leading skills in software delivery, data management, modelling, pricing and sports trading and work with a number of the world's leading betting operators including SkyBet, BetFred, William Hill and of course we power our own spread betting business. Our mission is to deliver exceptional infrastructure, software and data products that solve customer problems using the “right” technologies.
We have developed our award winning cloud based sports pricing platform which allows customers to take automated pre and in-play pricing, and manually use our real time quantitative models over the web to predict the outcome of a wide range of sporting events, all delivered in real time through a RESTful based API and rich web application.
The Role
• Develop and maintain software for managing a variety of trading activities (such as setting up offerings, pricing up etc.) and across all tiers
• Develop requisite diagnostics and monitoring tools for early detection of system faults
• Develop software iteratively that works seamlessly in a continuous deployment environment; biased on TDD and BDD approaches
• API Development
• Be an active member of the team suggesting ways we can learn and improve
What we are looking for
• A solid understanding and demonstrable experience of C#/.net and web based development
• Proven record in developing scalable, highly-available and highly-performing middle-tier components
• Experience in developing HTTP-based APIs and implementation of RESTful services with JSON
• Push technologies (e.g. web sockets, SignalR)
• Experience with communications technologies (e.g. WCF, Web API, Google Protocol Buffers) and message queues (e.g. Rabbit MQ)
• Experience with relational (e.g. PostgreSQL) and NoSQL data stores (e.g. MongoDB) and in-memory distributed caches (e.g. Redis) and search products (e.g. ElasticSearch)
• Proven ability in delivering fully-tested software iteratively and continuously
• Fully equipped to deliver software on a multi-developer environment
Extra marks if you have
• Understanding of concurrency and distributed systems
• Understand the concepts of REST and HATEOS
• Knowledge of spread betting or/and the bookmaking industry
• A passion for sport
