You were done in!!!

I have learned this the hard way. As of last week, I am no longer able to use my top up airtime to do cellphone banking via FNB (*120*321#), yet I am able to use *130*321# to buy airtime via fnb so that I can recharge my airtime and access my banking and buy electricity etc. Really pathetic from Cell C. My contract expires the end of the year, and after that I will move to a different service provider. I really feel done in.

Cell C Breached contractual agreements.
No where in my contract terms that I was given did it allow them to alter the terms at anytime without prior notice.
That line DOES NOT EXIST.

Cell C are too big for me to sue, I do not poses that kind of cash.
When dealing with the call center, head office, Cell C CLO officers, etc, they ignore or shunt you from pillar to post.
I had several Cell C contracts, all had some issue occur roughly 6 - 8 months into operation.
Some were downgraded from Control Chat 100 contract to Control Chat 50, Others were converted to PREPAID and some were sim swapped out of my possession. All this after I had paid for the contract upfront for the full 24 months.

Yes these companies have gotten away with murder. They cannot be punished as the Judiciary in this country does not work, the NCC (National Consumer Commission) Don't have a phone that seems to work. Had a case opened with them and it has seemed to just fallen to the wayside. Tried dealing with ICASA although after a 6 month investigation they turned and said they do not have jurisdiction over the issue.

The entire ordeal has been unlawful, wrongful and criminal in all senses of the word.

Unfortunately I as a citizen do not have the means to take these criminals to task as there is no free or low cost service to find justice!!! I hought I was the only one going through these issues, guess I was wrong. Cell C is KNOTT working.

True, but I for example can't buy R5 over EFT, only at the tills/shops.
I suppose on balance it's still better than having your airtime covertly drained by a WASP.

Vodacom had a way around this issue of rogue WASPS deducting airtime, one had to do a double entry to get the service. Therefore one was always aware of the service they were getting, Cell C chose to just screw their subscriber base and breach contract usage terms.

The principal is not about whether prepaid airtime should be used, the principal is we signed contracts to produce certain services and just like that it was changed. Imagine...

It is written in the constitution that everyone has the right to free education, transport, etc and then out of the blue they scrap that and enforce everyone has the right to be imprisoned for no reason. No dignities will be spared and you will just have to tolerate it. Oh right holocaust tactics, present in S.A, Zim, U.S.A and pretty much world wide.

Oh well guess it's just another one of those oppression things citizens of South Africa must deal with.
